Thanks to ABC Family, and my DVR, I was able enjoy all of my favorite Halloween movies this year!
Some of my favorites:
1) Hocus Pocus: I would argue to say that this is probably everyone's favorite Halloween movie! How can you not love this classic? Sarah Jessica Parker is so creepy and weird! I love it. But I am not going to lie - this movie scared the crap out of me as a child!!!
2) Practical Magic: While Hocus Pocus may be the crowd favorite, Practical Magic is definitely my number one! When I was watching it the other day, I kept thinking to myself, "what a whirlwind of emotions are in this movie!" (Warning: Do not read this next part if you haven't seen the movie!!!!) You're sad when their parents die, happy when Sally finds love, sad when her husband dies, scared when they are being haunted by Gilley's creepy undead ex, Jimmy Angelov, and then overjoyed when they break the curse and everyone is happy! Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are the like the best friend kind of sisters we all wish we had (sorry, Johnny). My favorite part of the movie is the "lime in the coconut" scene.
3) Disney's Halloweentown 1-?: I have lost track of how many sequels there are now, but this is totally one of our generation's favorite Halloween flicks! I love the first one the best! Marty's grandma is just SO cool- right?
